Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging training is a vital element of contemporary organizational development with the aim of fostering and promoting inclusive environments. The objective of this training is to achieve an employment system typified by equity that promotes a harmonious environment, that augments the prospect and ability of all to realise their potential and to impact organisational and individual success. This training supports organizations to acknowledge and appreciate the differences among all stakeholders while diminishing the instances of discrimination and prejudice and ultimately adopting a culture of respect and inclusion. This course details what the law expects of individuals in terms of the nine protected characteristics and also empowers individuals to afford every person the same opportunities and importantly ensure everyone has a sense of belonging.

1. Recognise the components of building an inclusive workplace.
2. Recognise the benefits of a diverse and inclusive organisation.
3. Recognise how equity, diversity and inclusion can increase staff engagement, retention and productivity.
4. Be aware of their rights and responsibilities under legislation
and human rights instruments.
5. Develop attitudes that promote equity diversity, non-discrimination
and human rights.
6. Understand how Irish law promotes equity and protects from
discrimination, harassment and victimisation for the nine specific
protected characteristics.
7. Acquire skills for recognising discriminatory and inequitable practices
and human rights violations.
8. Understand what is meant by discrimination, harassment,
victimisation, sexual harassment and bullying and how to respond to
these behaviours.
9. Recognise the impact of unconscious bias and stereotypes.
10. Augment their communication skills to better interact with diverse
groups.
11. Nurture inclusive workplace culture where all people feel valued,
appreciated and respected.
12. Understand that equity, diversity and inclusion and belonging are fundamental values to uphold across the life spectrum.
13. Understand the responsibilities of all employees, employers,
managers and HR teams in regards to ensuring equity and diversity in
work practices and procedure.
